Vet appointments
Consultations with vets and nurses are by appointment only and these can be made in person or by telephoning the surgery on 01592 753231. We are happy to book appointments for specific vets and in fact prefer that our clients see the same vet each time they visit. This allows our clients to build a relationship with our vets and our vets to build a relationship with their patients and gain in-depth knowledge of any conditions they may have. Please do not hesitate when booking your appointment to request a specific vet for your pet.
If your pet is showing symptoms of a condition that may be contagious or harmful to other pets (e.g. Kennel Cough) we may ask you to make an appointment at the end of one of our appointment sessions. As a precaution we may also ask you to keep your pet in the car until the vet is ready to see you.
Nurse appointments
Our nurses are always happy to help and give advice about your pets’ health. Nurses are able to do some minor procedures, for example nail clips and health checks for flea and worming treatment. This depends on how comfortable your pet is with these procedures. Nurse health checks are free of charge and the price of a nail clip varies depending on how easy/difficult it is to carry out.
Nurse appointments can usually be made Monday – Friday or at weekends by arrangement.
