About Kingdom Veterinary Clinic

As an independent clinic, we have the freedom to focus entirely on what matters most, building trusting relationships with our clients and providing genuine, compassionate care for every animal that comes through our doors.

Most of the patients we see are dogs and cats, but we also enjoy caring for rabbits, guinea pigs, and other small pets.

Our team is also experienced in treating exotic species, and we’re always happy to offer advice and support to their owners.

We are proud to be accredited by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS).

As an independent practice, we take pride in working as a supportive and united team.

Our staff includes eight dedicated veterinary surgeons with over 75 years combined experience, four qualified veterinary nurses, and six further support staff, all working hand in hand to provide the highest level of care for our patients.

Juan

Juan graduated from Alfonso X El Sabio University in Spain and moved to the UK in 2020. Since then, he has worked in small animal practice, gaining broad experience in consultations, routine surgery and emergency care. He has a strong interest in soft tissue surgery, emergency care and diagnostic imaging, and is currently completing a GP Certificate in Small Animal Surgery (Soft Tissue and Traumatology). Juan is passionate about patient welfare and clear communication, and enjoys taking the time to explain diagnoses and treatment options so that owners feel confident and supported in their decisions. Outside of work, Juan loves hiking and exploring nature with his rescue dog Faro, paddle boarding, and drawing.

Marcel

Marcel graduated from The Autonomous University of Barcelona, Spain, in 2016. After completing an internship in small animal orthopaedics and gaining experience at a veterinary hospital in Barcelona, he moved to the UK in 2020. In 2021, he completed a second internship at Southfields Veterinary Specialists, and since then has worked in several veterinary practices across the country. Marcel enjoys all areas of veterinary medicine but has a particular interest in soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery, which is why he is currently completing a Postgraduate Certificate in Small Animal Surgery. Outside of work, Marcel loves spending time with his Labrador Nala and Golden Retriever Yuna, especially enjoying outdoor adventures, hiking, and exploring nature.

Andrea

Andrea graduated in 2001 from The Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies, University of Edinburgh, and has been a valued member of our practice ever since. With many years of experience, Andrea enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, with a particular interest in internal medicine. Outside of work, Andrea loves spending time with her family, leading an active lifestyle, practising yoga, and enjoying cooking.

Dr Michelle

Michelle graduated in 2008 and has since completed a certificate in Small Animal Medicine. She joined our team in 2011, having previously worked in a mixed practice in Norfolk. Michelle has a particular interest in internal medicine and cardiology. Outside of work, Michelle lives locally with her husband, four sons, and her cat, Puck, and enjoys spending time with her busy family.

Morag

Morag graduated from The Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies, University of Edinburgh, in 1998. After gaining broad experience and working regular locum shifts with the practice over the years, she joined our team permanently in 2021. Morag is qualified in acupuncture and enjoys all aspects of general practice veterinary medicine. Outside of work, she enjoys going to the gym, long walks with her Labrador, Scout, and travelling to explore new places.

Dr Becky

Becky qualified in 2019 from the University of Glasgow and joined our team in 2022 after spending three years working in another practice in Fife. Her clinical interests include feline medicine, emergency and critical care, and soft tissue surgery. Becky has two cats, Lola and Gus, and a cheeky whippet called Rupert. Outside of work, she enjoys long walks with Rupert, reading, and playing video games.

Matthew graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2022 and has been a valued member of our team ever since. He enjoys all aspects of general practice, with a particular interest in dentistry. Outside of work, Matthew enjoys baking, strength training, and playing Dungeons & Dragons, and is the proud owner of two cats, Karma and Jinx.

Emma

Emma is our newest team member, having graduated from the University of Surrey in 2025 and joining the practice shortly thereafter. She has a keen interest in internal medicine and diagnostic imaging. Outside of work, Emma enjoys working out, spending time outdoors, and getting stuck into a good book.

Marisa

Marisa is a Registered Veterinary Nurse who trained with the College of Animal Welfare in Middlesex, graduating with a BSc (Hons) in Veterinary Nursing in 2007. Having grown up in Paisley, she later moved to Fife, where she met her husband and now lives with their two children. Marisa shares her home with two cats, Elmo and Bagheera, and a hamster called Nibbles. She has a special interest in anaesthesia and dentistry, and particularly enjoys emergency and critical care cases. Outside of work, Marisa enjoys spending time with her husband and children and visiting her family in Paisley.

Michelle

Michelle qualified in 2012 and joined our team in 2014. She has a keen interest in wound management, ophthalmology, and exotic pets, especially scaley ones! Michelle loves the challenges of veterinary medicine and finds it rewarding to care for patients of all shapes and sizes. Outside of work, she keeps active whenever she can and enjoys fitting in exercise and staying healthy, even with her busy schedule.

Mary-Beth

Mary-Beth graduated from Dundalk Institute of Technology in 2022, earning a BSc in Veterinary Nursing with distinction. She gained further experience working for one year at Northern Ireland Veterinary Specialists (NIVS) before joining the practice in November 2024. With a background in both referral and mixed practice, Mary-Beth brings a wealth of knowledge to the team. Her interests include internal medicine and inpatient care, and she is very happy to be back in first-opinion practice. Outside of work, Mary-Beth enjoys hiking, horse riding, art, and reading, and is looking forward to exploring the mountains with her dog, Teddy.

Cathy joined the practice in October 1979 and has been with us ever since. She is a qualified Homeopath (human) and a Vibrational Medicine Practitioner. She lives with her Husband of 54 years and ginger cat Ludi. When not at work Cathy enjoys knitting and travelling with her caravan.

Ashley

Ashley joined the practice in September 2010 after graduating from Heriot Watt University in June 2010. Although studying in a different field, Ashley has had a lifelong interest in the veterinary profession and has always gravitated back to the industry. In 2020 she completed a post graduate certificate in Veterinary Business Management through Liverpool University. When not at work she enjoys hiking, snowboarding, horse riding, and reading.

Margaret is on her second spell with Kingdom Vets after taking a break to raise her children and returning in 2017. Margaret enjoys taking the time to understand and help every client in any way she can. Outside of work she enjoys following Aberdeen FC and attending their home and away games, as well as spending time with her children, husband Trevor, whippet Sawney-Bean and cats Chairman Meow, Mewlius Caeser, and Genghis Khat.

Iain

Iain joined the practice in 2018 and works full time on reception. He particularly enjoys meeting our exotic patients, but has many canine and feline friends too as he is never far away from the treat jar! Away from work Iain enjoys watching sports, especially football and basketball, upgrading his PC, and video-gaming.

Annie joined us straight after completing her HND in 2023 an as Animal Care Assistant to assist our nursing team in all aspects of patient care. Apart from backpacking she loves music, languages, books and cooking. She lives with her husband Jason, and her cat Luna.
